With batteries now central to modern energy infrastructure and defense strategy, C-BATT is moving forward with a major leap in American-made battery technology, preparing Obsidia™ to deliver the performance, durability and independence required for the next era of battery storage. 

According to federal energy forecasts, battery storage grid additions are expected to surpass those of wind and natural gas combined in 2025.

The U.S. military faces this pressure firsthand.

For this reason, the Department of Energy has labelled graphite as one of the highest priorities on the 2025-35 U.S. Material Criticality Matrix.
